Kossuth Foundation Board of Directors Election

Call for Nominations
A charitable foundation like ours depends on the guidance and service of volunteers who are willing to devote personal time to help with governance and programs.  Our board of directors is the governing body that provides much of that guidance and leadership.  As required by our bylaws, we will hold our quadrennial board elections not later than October 15 of this year.

With the recent resignation of Mr. Steven Varga in April, we currently have a vacancy on the Foundation’s Board.  Plus, several current Board members have announced that they are not seeking re-election.

The qualifications for service on the board are spelled out in our bylaws, which may be reviewed by Foundation members who log on to our website (at http://kossuthfoundation.org/).  However, the qualifications are simple.  In short, Board candidates must be 18 year of age or older, US citizens, and have the knowledge and experience to help run the organization.  In addition, candidates must have a willingness to support our efforts and to put the interests of the Foundation and our charitable mission ahead of personal interest.

If you are a member of the Foundation and are interested in serving the Hungarian-American community, we welcome your participation.  Also, we welcome nominations if you know of someone whom you think could help lead us into the future.

If you or someone you know might be interested and could devote some time to help in the governance of the Foundation, please write to the Nominating Committee at This email address is being protected from spambots.
