Kossuth Foundation 2018 Fall Semester Language Program

The Kossuth Foundation's Hungarian Language Program offers language classes to adults in the Washington, DC, metro area. For the fall 2018 semester, courses will again be taught at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels in the evenings at the Kossuth House near Dupont Circle and at other locations in the region. Courses will be forming in the weeks ahead with the first class starting in the second or third week of September. Courses meet once per week for 12 weeks. No tuition is charged but students are asked to make a voluntary donation to support the program.

All classes are taught by professional Hungarian native speakers with experience in language education. Classes are typically small with 4 to 8 students per class to allow students to progress quickly. This fall, the program will be supported through a generous grant from the Bethlen Gabor Foundation (Bethlen Gábor Alapitvány or BGA) in Hungary. “We are delighted to have the support of the BGA, which will allow us to reach more students and to continue offering classes to those with an interest in learning one of the world’s most challenging languages.” said Judit Haála Subert, the program coordinator, who teaches one of the advanced classes.
