Library Introduction

Welcome to our Hungarian Library!

We're delighted to share our collection of over 1300 books (and growing!) with the Hungarian community.

The idea of establishing a library came from our Chairman, Gabe Rozsa in May of 2018. As the Foundation received generous book donations over the years, we had a very good number of volumes to start with. A small group of volunteers started cataloguing the books, first in a smaller office room. We quickly outgrew the first location, and we relocated to a larger room within our building. The motivated group of volunteers have not only catalogues the books, but also put the collection through a curating and categorizing process.

The end result is an organized collection of Hungarian volumes, books about Hungary, and Hungarian writers' books in English.

In our catalogue you can find classic novels, children's books, poetry, drama, science, history, journalism, a large collection of biographies and more. You can access the online catalogue, and start browsing. Look under "Browse our catalogue" in the top menu.

Our library isn't only home for the available books, but also gives space for library events. We'll be hosting story hours for kids, movie nights, boardgame afternoons, and more.

To elevate the atmosphere, we have a coffe/tea/hot chocolate corner, where our patrons can enjoy reading with a hot beverage.

With a 4-tier membership system, everyone can find a suitable enrollment plan for the year.
Our Library Coordinator, Eszti Suto, and our volunteers are happy to help you enroll, and find the books to take with you when you visit.
We're looking forward to meeting you in person, and showing you around our library.
